She is also a 15 year member of The Potter’s House Dance Ministry, under the direction of Mickye Castillo. Destiney serves as the technical coach for the Potter’s House Dance Ministry. In her time there, she has been able to use her gift to serve by teaching technique classes, choreographing for productions as well as special pieces. Destiney has helped choreograph pieces for dancers at the International Pastors and Leaders Conference and has also been the Modern and Ballet instructor for the Alive Dance Conference since its inception. Through these conferences, she has had an opportunity share her love and passion for Christ through the art of dance with thousands of fellow dancers.
In 2007, Destiney created Steps of Grace, an organization that cultivates and provides technical training for ministry groups. Through Steps of Grace, Destiney provided workshops for teams that were geared toward teaching dance ministries how to use technique to give dimension to their dance pieces and how to bring them to life.
When she is not dancing with the dance ministry, Destiney works at the Family DREAM Center in Mansfield Texas where she teaches classes on Saturday mornings for ages 2-9 years of age. She also sponsors a dance club at her school for students who may not have the means or access to study dance at a traditional dance studio. The group has performed for the student body as well as for district events.
Destiney has a passion for teaching and igniting the passion of dance in others.
